It is spring! Which signals a number of things; blossoms and daffodils, longer days and confusion about whether Ogden Nash or Spike Milligan first said ‘the grass is riz’ (it was probably neither). The real puzzle about that famous ‘Spring is Sprung’ poem - most likely written by the prolific writer called Anonymous -  is the line: ‘I wonder where the birdies is?’ Because they’re clearly everywhere; they’re nesting and they’re noisy.
