Is it possible to resist spending your last $5 when multiple homes across town are selling their unwanted goods at bargain prices? The Maldon Townwide Garage Sale on Saturday 1 March, under glorious blue skies, was hailed very early as a success by organiser John Bainbridge of Maldon Neighbourhood Centre (MNC). With close to 85 registered households and a constant stream of visitors buying maps, the event was a great fundraiser for the MNC. “It’s a record,” said John of the numbers, pointing out that people travel far to visit Maldon’s famously large sale.
