Fine conditions greeted a good field of golfers for the first round of the President’s Trophy. The grass growth over the past week has the course looking a treat and making it a more challenging test. Golfers now have full shots to play with the summer run gone, making shot and club selection more critical.

Several good scores were returned on the day with Bruce Ackland coming away
